SPF has quickly become our must have beauty product. If you are sitting in the sun too long without it, you can expose yourself to harsh UV rays that cause dehydration, skin damage, aging and sun spots. Your skin is your body’s largest organ therefore it needs the most hydration and protection. We recommend implementing a sun-care routine in your self care regime as it is so important to lather on your face, neck, body and the back of your hands daily.
So, what kind of sunscreen should you be using? We look for brands that use a non-nano zinc oxide, which sits on top of the skin and reflects the sun away from you. Chemical sunscreens are like sun filters because these types of ingredients absorb the sun’s UV energy and release it back as heat. These types of products can cause potential for skin irritations but are so popular due to their transparent application.
